Mark Jennings

Co-Founder / COO

 

With 14 years of experience in the construction industry, Mark has been part of every task imaginable in the building process. After graduating from the Holland College Carpentry Program in 2009, Mark began working with Amber Masonry Construction (AMC) where he honed his skills as a carpenter, but also a crew leader. After earning his Red Seal Certification in 2014, Mark purchased AMC and rebranded as MRJ Construction. In 2016, Mark and Scott Gosson formed a business partnership, resulting in Leading Edge Homes, which has also grown into the Leading Edge Group. Mark uses his years of hands-on experience to manage all aspects of residential and commercial contruction projects.
 
In 2023 Leading Edge Homes entered the franchise market. Mark’s vision as COO of Leading Edge Homes is to provide Franchise Partners with the visionary leadership and passion for the industry to help everyday Canadians be in business for themselves, but never by themselves.

Scott Gosson

Co-Founder / CEO

 

With over 25 years in the construction industry Scott brings a wealth of knowledge in the design/management and business development fields.
 
After graduating from the Holland College Construction Technology Program in 1998, Scott started his career as a drafting technician/ estimator for MF Schurman Company (later KENT building supplies). After 5 years he moved to a contractor sales role for the company selling building materials to major contractors. In 2006 he took on the role of manager at Atlas Structural Systems (formerly Shamrock Truss) and helped grow the truss manufacturing business from one location in 2006 to ten in the maritime region in 2023.
 
In 2016 he partnered with Mark Jennings to create Leading Edge Homes with ambitions to use new innovative ways in the home-building process.
 
In 2023 Leading Edge Homes entered the franchise market. Scott’s vision as CEO of Leading Edge Homes is to provide Franchise Partners with the visionary leadership and passion for the industry to help everyday Canadians be in business for themselves, but never by themselves.
